This Privacy Policy explains how Zero24 LLC ("Zero24," "we," or "us") handles information when you use Recap on the web or iOS.
Recap is a source-processing service. You choose the screenshots, text, links, documents, videos, messages, or notes that Recap turns into a readable Recap document and optional Calendar, Workspace, or Learning outputs.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, authentication provider, and account identifier when you sign in with Apple, Google, or another supported method.
- Sources and generated content: the text, links, images, videos, documents, and other material you submit, together with the Recap documents, Calendar details, Workspace exports, and Learning cards created from them.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, transaction status, purchase date, renewal, expiration, refund, and restore events. Apple processes your payment details; Recap does not receive your full card number.
- App and service diagnostics: app version, device and operating-system details, crash reports, error logs, request timing, and security events needed to operate and protect Recap.
- Website analytics and referrals: page interactions and an affiliate referral code when you use the Recap website.
- Support communications: information you choose to include when contacting us.
How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate your account and keep your Recaps available across supported devices;
- process sources, generate Recap documents, and perform the Calendar, Workspace, and Learning actions you select;
- provide and verify subscription entitlements, purchases, restores, renewals, expirations, and refunds;
- maintain reliability, investigate errors and abuse, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve product performance; and
- measure website use and attribute referrals.
Recap does not sell personal information and does not use iOS app data for cross-company advertising tracking.
Service providers and connected services
We use vendors only to provide Recap and the actions you request. These may include Microsoft Azure for hosting and storage, Google Gemini for source processing, Firebase for authentication and crash reporting, RevenueCat and Apple for subscription administration, and website analytics and referral providers such as Google Tag Manager and Tolt.
If you connect a destination such as Google Calendar, Notion, Obsidian, or Craft, Recap sends only the content and authorization data needed for the action you confirm. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect Recap or others, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and source information while your account is active and as needed to provide Recap. Operational and security records may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and service integrity. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until they age out under our normal backup cycle.
You can delete your account in the iOS app from Account → Delete account. Account deletion removes your Recap account from Firebase authentication, the User Backend, the Source Backend, and UID-scoped local app data. Apple or Google may retain records they control. Deleting Recap does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Your choices and rights
- You control which sources you submit and which Calendar or Workspace destinations you connect.
- You can revoke connected-service access in that provider's account settings.
- You can manage an Apple subscription from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. Email zero24@recapall.app to make a request. We may need to verify that you control the account.
Security, children, and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Recap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to Recap.
Recap and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Recap or applicable requirements change. We will post the new effective date here and provide additional notice when required.
